Nebraska PDMP Dispenser’s Implementation Guide Now Available! With the passage of LB471 and subsequent signing into law, community pharmacies in Nebraska, mail service pharmacies licensed to dispense in Nebraska, and all other licensed dispensers providing medications to Nebraskans will be required to report controlled substance data to the state PDMP starting January 1, 2017.

Nebraska Receives Second Grant for Prescription Drug Overdose Prevention - Lincoln, NE - The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services recently received $500,000 from the U.S. Department of Justice to help reduce the misuse and abuse of prescription drugs. The funding, $250,000 per year over two years, is part of the Harold Rogers Prescription Drug Monitoring Program grants.
Automated Syndromic Surveillance Reporting To State of Nebraska via NeHII Goes Live - Lincoln, NE - The Public Health Gateway Syndromic Surveillance Pilot project successfully went into production use on September 10, 2015. This project was a collaborative effort between Nebraska Health Information Initiative (NeHII), Nemaha County Hospital and the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
CHI Health Moving Forward With Statewide NeHII - Nebraska Health Information Exchange Implementation - With the addition of six CHI Health hospitals, 62 percent of hospital beds in the state of Nebraska will be connected to Nebraska’s health information exchange known as Nebraska Health Information Initiative or "NeHII”.
