OMAHA, NE – Dr. Michael White, NeHII Board President, and the NeHII Board of Directors are pleased to announce the hiring of Jaime Bland as NeHII’s Chief Executive Officer starting June 1, 2018. Jaime is assuming the role of CEO upon the retirement of Deb Bass.

Jaime Bland DNP, RN is the current Director of Business Development responsible for value added services for NeHII focusing on expanding capabilities in supporting quality reporting and population health analytics.

Prior to Dr. Bland’s appointment to NeHII, she was the Chief Clinical Initiative Officer for ENHANCE Health Network, overseeing clinical quality initiatives including work centered around performance data, provider relations, clinical initiative development, and supporting performance improvement work. In addition, Dr. Bland holds an adjunct faculty position with Creighton University College of Nursing.

Preceding Dr. Bland’s work at ENHANCE, she held several leadership positions including leading regional efforts in Patient Centered Medical Home and Health Promotion Disease Prevention programs for Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Midwest Health Care Network Eagan, MN and multiple clinic leadership roles for the US Army Qatar and as Clinical and Informatics Analyst for Sidra Medical and Research Center – Qatar Foundation, where she was involved in designing physical space in ambulatory clinics and the hospital, as well as holding key project management roles in clinical informatics design and vendor selection.

Dr. Bland holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice - Public Health Global Health Nursing from Creighton University. She is a member of multiple professional organizations including HIMSS, CHIME, American Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau.

Dr. White welcomed Jaime to the leadership role at NeHII saying, “NeHII conducted a national search for the best suited individual to fill this position and more than 35 candidates responded to the call. After a thorough review of the qualifications and skills required for the position, as well as behavioral and cognitive assessments, the search committee selected Jaime. Their decision was finalized by the Board of Directors this morning. We welcome Jaime and look forward to her guidance in taking NeHII to the next echelon and building on NeHII’s national recognition as a leading HIE.” Jaime commented in response to the unanimous vote of approval by the Board of Directors with, “It's an honor to be selected to lead the NeHII team and partners and to work with this vibrant community of active, engaged community stakeholders across Nebraska and the region. NeHII serves a critical role in patient safety, population health management and facilitating changes in the healthcare landscape; the history of NeHII is impressive not only as an HIE but as a regional collaborator. The strategic direction of the organization is one of innovation and value, and I am excited to be a part of such a dynamic organization at a critical inflection point in healthcare.”
